General driving directions, assuming you have already reached Southampton

 

Arriving via the M3/A33
  • Follow the signs to Southampton docks
  • At the roundabout with the Jury’s Inn hotel in the middle, take the 2nd exit straight ahead (marked “Waterfront/WestQuay”)
  • At the next traffic lights, take the right hand fork on to Kingsway/St Mary’s Place marked “Docks”
  • Continue past the park on your right and then the road bends round to the left into a one way system. Stay in the right hand lane and do not take the left hand turning to go over the bridge
  • Continue straight over the next set of traffic lights, marked “Docks”
  • At the end of this road, turn immediately left at the next junction (signed “Ocean Village and Woolston”)
  • Follow the road over the train tracks/crossing
  • Go straight over the first set of traffic lights and turn right at the second set of traffic lights into Ocean Way – the main entrance to Ocean Village
  • The road goes past a Tesco Express on the left and the Cineworld cinema on the right before bending round to the right
  • Parking is available either in the surface car park straight ahead or in the new multi-storey Ocean Car Park
  • The Ocean Car Park is found by following the road around to the right and then turning left at the very end – you will see the large white multi-storey car park on your right
Arriving via the M27/A334/A3024
  • From the M27 westbound, take junction 7, signposted to Southampton and Bittern, follow the A334, which turns in to the A3024
  • Continue over the bridge over the Solent
  • At the main junction with traffic lights, turn left on to Kingsway/St Mary’s Place marked “Docks”
  • Continue past the park on your right and then the road bends round to the left into a one way system. Stay in the right hand lane and do not take the left hand turning to go over the bridge
  • Continue straight over the next set of traffic lights, marked “Docks”
  • At the end of this road, turn immediately left at the next junction (signed “Ocean Village and Woolston”)
  • Follow the road over the train tracks/crossing

Arriving via the M271/A3024
  • From the M27 eastbound, take the M271 to Southampton
  • Take the first exit signposted to the city centre and West Quay
  • Continue along the A3024
  • After about a mile, get in to the right lane and follow signs for West Quay and the A33
  • Continue past West Quay shopping centre and IKEA on your left
  • After the De Vere Hotel (the big glass pyramid) on your left, go straight over the roundabout and keep going across two sets of traffic lights
  • Enter the one way system and follow the A33 around the Queens Park roundabout and take the exit signed “Ocean Village and Woolston”.
  • Follow the road over the train tracks/crossing
  • Go straight over the first set of traffic lights and turn right at the second set of traffic lights into Ocean Way – the main entrance to Ocean Village

Ocean Village has plenty of parking, spread across a surface car park (which is closed during major events such as the Clipper Round the World Race and the Sports Boat and RIB Show) and a huge multi-storey car park:

Charges apply Monday to Sunday (All days, including Bank Holidays – 02:00 to 18:00). Tariff cost applies to any part hours. Payment can be made using coins, notes or credit / debit cards and change can be given from cash. It is an offence to park outside the marked parking bays. Vehicles doing so may be fined.

 

By Bus

A number of bus companies operate within Southampton. As bus routes and timetables are subject to change it is worth checking with the various operators prior to setting off on your journey.

By Train

The nearest railway station to Ocean Village is Southampton Central. Use the National Rail Enquiries website
to plan your journey.

It is a 30 minute walk from the station to Ocean Village. However numerous buses leave from outside and around the station (see bus information above) and a taxi rank will allow you to take a taxi should you wish to do so.
