New Eastern Dock car park to impact Ocean Village residents?

Multiple corroborating sources indicate that ABP is extremely close to commencing work on a new multi-storey car park in the Eastern Docks for storing import/export cars in transit.  Although a number of these structures already exist elsewhere in the docks, this will be the first multi-storey compound of this type being built in very close proximity to some residential properties in Ocean Village.  ABP have apparently stated that it will be of a comparable height to similar structures in the area, which would suggest that it will be four storeys high.

A word of caution for drivers that use Ocean Way. Roadworks started today to raise the manholes and drain gulleys ahead of a road resurfacing which will apparently take place next week. At the moment, manhole covers are up on the stretch of Ocean Way from the Ocean Car Park, past OVIC and Splash (Sapphire Court) towards Atlantic Close and Pacific Close. So please drive carefully to avoid damage to your car and be aware that there will be both open and raised manholes until the works have finished.

Careful Where You Park!

Numerous new signs have gone up around Ocean Village in the last week as MDL looks to reinvigorate it’s efforts to enforce parking restrictions. As part of this exercise the contract for enforcement has been passed on to the Legion Group.
